In today's drop, we follow Amaka — a mother in Bristol who knows her son's age but cannot say it in Igbo — and learn the three sentences that close the gap between knowing and speaking.

Cultural takeaway: In Igbo, you do not have an age — you are your age. And in traditional community life, asking your age was how elders mentally placed you among your age-mates — working out who you walk with, what responsibilities you share.
